We are currently hiring an Accounts Payable Coordinator I (Travel & Expense) to support expense reporting and audit operations. This role is ideal for early-career finance and accounting professionals with hands-on experience in travel and expense auditing, strong attention to detail, and a customer-focused mindset.


Key Responsibilities

As an Accounts Payable Coordinator I (T&E), you will be responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and policy-compliant processing of employee expense reports. Key duties include:

  • Audit employee expense reports and supporting receipts in accordance with company Travel & Expense policies, client-specific travel policies, and Business Conduct Standards.

  • Review, analyze, and validate expense data to ensure accuracy and compliance prior to approval for payment.

  • Document audit findings clearly and maintain appropriate records to support audit conclusions.

  • Track and resolve pending or problematic expense reports requiring additional research or clarification.

  • Review historical audit notes, approvals, and supporting documentation for consistency and accuracy.

  • Respond promptly and professionally to a high volume of employee queries via email and voicemail.

  • Provide accurate guidance on expense systems, reimbursement policies, and compliance standards.

  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly expense audit and processing reports.

  • Identify process improvement opportunities and share best practices within the expense reporting team.

  • Support cross-functional collaboration with internal business units and finance stakeholders.

  • Cross-train and provide backup support for higher-level accounting or finance operations when required.


Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • 1–2 years of experience in Travel & Expense processing, expense auditing, or accounts payable operations.

  • Hands-on experience with expense management tools such as Concur, iExpense, Workday, or similar platforms (preferred).

  • Prior experience in expense audit or finance operations is strongly preferred.

  • Customer service experience with the ability to manage employee queries professionally and efficiently.

  • Strong knowledge of Travel & Expense policies and reimbursement guidelines.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and numerical accuracy.

  • Effective time management and ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

  • Problem-solving ability with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively within a team.

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business requirements.
