Role Summary:

The Regional Manager of Medical Information Communication will be responsible for managing all business activities within the assigned region. This includes developing and implementing regional business goals and growth plans, establishing a highly productive and motivated team, and responding to customer needs to achieve or exceed regional objectives. The role involves supervising team members' behaviors, providing guidance for their professional skills development, and supporting their learning and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Business Planning & Execution:

    • Develop and implement business plans for the assigned region, driving team performance to meet or exceed company and senior management objectives.
    • Recruit personnel that meet the company’s basic requirements.
    • Regularly assess team members’ performance and behavior, implementing appropriate rewards, penalties, or incentive measures.
  2. Compliance & Team Development:

    • Develop and implement compliance awareness training programs, ensuring all activities are conducted truthfully and in accordance with regulations.
    • Formulate and implement plans for team members' professional development, focusing on business abilities, product knowledge, sales strategies, and overall efficiency.
    • Provide coaching and support for personal development and team members' growth.
  3. Talent Management & Resource Allocation:

    • Allocate human resources and plan for talent development in line with regional business development direction, ensuring the healthy and positive growth of the region.
    • Build talent pipelines to retain high-performance personnel.
  4. Team Coaching & Market Insights:

    • Monitor the progress of each team through regular follow-ups, reports, and coaching on sales activities, market events, talent development, and retention.
    • Identify market opportunities based on analysis of market development trends and create a long-term competitive advantage for the region.
  5. Project & Activity Coordination:

    • Coordinate and organize key projects and activities within the region, ensuring optimal allocation and control of resources.
  6. Customer & Stakeholder Relations:

    • Maintain continuous communication with key regional customers, proactively predicting shifts in their academic needs, and optimizing strategic partnerships.
  7. Regulatory & Market Access:

    • Stay informed about policies affecting current and future business and, if needed, collaborate with relevant departments on market access activities in the region.
  8. Internal Communication:

    • Establish and maintain effective communication systems, including regular regional meetings, progress updates to senior management, and fostering cross-departmental collaboration.
  9. Sales Operations & Innovation:

    • Provide recommendations for developing or modifying sales policies, processes, and other internal policies to ensure efficient sales operations.
    • Support company innovations by leading the implementation of new initiatives and creating innovation platforms within the region.
  10. Additional Tasks:

    • Perform other tasks as assigned by senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Medicine, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or a related field (preferred).
  • Skills:

    • Proficient in MS Office applications; good command of English.
    • Strong knowledge of the relevant product areas.
    • Leadership and strategic thinking capabilities.
    • Excellent communication, planning, organizing, and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong teamwork mindset.
    • Strong willingness and ability to learn.
    • Self-motivated, able to challenge oneself and manage stress effectively.
  • Experience:

    • At least 3 years of sales management experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a proven track record of excellent performance in compliance-driven environments.
  • Integrity:

    • Must demonstrate strong ethical standards and ensure that all activities comply with company policies, industry codes of conduct, and relevant laws, including but not limited to FCPA and local anti-corruption laws in Mainland China. No history of legal violations.
  • Internal Applicants:

    • Internal applicants must meet the current compliance investigation process requirements and disciplinary level & timeline standards.
    • At least 2 years of experience in Pfizer sales management.
    • Team performance over the past two years should meet or exceed the average team sales achievement rate and growth rate.
