Job Summary (Healthcare-focused)

Optum NY is seeking a Clinical Administration Supervisor to lead day‑to‑day patient care operations across Cardiology and Internal Medicine. You will supervise clinical staff, optimize clinical workflows, ensure regulatory & EMR compliance, and drive patient-centric service quality. This role is ideal for healthcare leaders with strong phlebotomy, EKG, EMR and team management experience who want to elevate care delivery, operational efficiency, and clinical governance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily clinical operations and direct patient care activities.

  • Lead, coach, and schedule clinical staff (nurses, providers, allied health).

  • Set task priorities and align team outputs to quality, safety & compliance goals.

  • Resolve operational issues using standardized processes and clinical judgment.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional supervisors to meet short-term objectives.

  • Ensure accurate EMR documentation, workflow adherence, and KPI tracking.

  • Support performance reviews, staff development, and team communications.

  • Drive patient experience, access, and throughput improvements in Cardiology & Internal Medicine clinics.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED.

  • 2+ years of supervisory experience.

  • 2+ years of clinical patient management experience.

  • 2+ years of phlebotomy & EKG experience.

  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) & Electronic Medical Records (EMR).

  • Ability to work on-site at 1 Dakota Dr, Lake Success, NY.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven experience supervising teams in a clinical / ambulatory setting.

  • Cardiology exposure, including cardiac monitors, is highly desirable.

(While pharma-centric tools like MedDRA, GVP, ICH-GCP aren’t applicable here, candidates must be fluent in EMR, HIPAA, clinical quality, and healthcare operations best practices.)
