Job Description: Sales Manager – Traded Generics

We are seeking a dedicated and results-driven Sales Manager to lead the execution of business strategies, drive sales growth, and manage operations in the traded generics segment. The ideal candidate will have strong sales acumen, excellent communication skills, and experience in managing channel operations.


Primary Job Responsibilities

  1. Sales Strategy Execution

    • Implement business and sales strategies to achieve growth objectives.
    • Monitor monthly unit-wise and value-wise sales, focusing on pillar and key brands.
  2. Competitive Analysis

    • Assess market dynamics and identify strategies to address competitor activities and new product launches.
  3. Stakeholder Communication

    • Maintain effective communication across the value chain, including stockists, retailers, and C&F agents.

Core Responsibilities

  1. Achieving Sales Targets

    • Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual secondary sales targets by:
      • Area
      • C&F agent
      • Brand
    • Drive secondary orders and ensure timely forwarding to C&F agents (by the 10th of each month).
  2. Planning and Stock Management

    • Contribute to monthly sales planning for C&F agents to avoid stock-outs.
    • Assess C&F infrastructure to ensure excellent customer service and compliance with operational SOPs.
  3. C&F Governance and Support

    • Monitor and manage C&F operations to ensure smooth processes.
    • Aid in securing payments from stockists before due dates (achieving ≥70% compliance).
  4. New Launches and Schemes

    • Drive sales and penetration of new product launches.
    • Communicate stockist and retailer schemes to relevant stakeholders.
  5. Relationship Management

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with C&F agents and stockists.
    • Work closely with C&F agents to oversee daily business operations.

Education & Experience

  • Education: Graduate or Postgraduate degree required.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 5+ years of experience in the traded generics segment.
    • Proven expertise in sales operations and channel management.
  • Age: Candidates aged 35 years or below preferred.
