Director, Regional Operations Lead – Pfizer

Location: Remote – India, Taiwan, Australia, South Korea

Job Summary

Pfizer is seeking a seasoned Director, Regional Operations Lead to oversee and align clinical site operations across APAC, ensuring strategic execution of global clinical development programs. This remote leadership role will partner with regional directors and global teams to drive resource planning, regulatory compliance, inspection readiness, and quality management across portfolios. Ideal for candidates with deep clinical trial operations experience, proven leadership, and strategic decision-making skills in the pharmaceutical sector.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead site operations strategy across assigned regions in collaboration with DCSOs

  • Represent Site Operations in regional leadership forums, contributing to global development goals

  • Manage resource planning and portfolio allocations for Site Monitoring roles

  • Oversee compliance metrics and vendor (FSP) management metrics

  • Identify, analyze, and resolve regional performance trends and propose CAPAs

  • Support audits, inspections, and continuous process improvement

  • Lead regional Communities of Practice and drive quality oversight for clinical trials

  • Initiate cross-functional projects and mentor regional teams


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master’s in Life Sciences or related field (minimum 10 years in clinical trial operations)

  • Deep knowledge of GCP, study management, regulatory operations, and site processes

  • Strong strategic planning and leadership skills with global collaboration experience

  • Proven track record in project management and performance optimization

  • Advanced communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Familiar with global regulatory requirements and inspection readiness processes


Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (PhD, MPH, MSc) in medical/scientific discipline

  • People management and leadership experience in multinational pharma settings

  • Strategic problem-solving and adaptive risk management experience

  • Familiarity with cross-border regulatory standards and industry best practices
