Job Overview:

Join the Salud Medical Center team as a Pharmacist and contribute to a community healthcare organization focused on providing comprehensive care to migrant farmworkers. With over 40 clinics across Washington and Oregon, Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic (YVFWC) offers a range of medical, dental, and wellness services while maintaining a strong commitment to inclusivity and community health.


Position Details:

  • Work Hours:
    Monday - Thursday: 9:00 am - 6:00 pm
    Friday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
  • Salary: $142,300 - $168,800 DOE, with higher potential for highly experienced candidates

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide patient care services, including:
    • Drug utilization review
    • Medication therapy management
    • Collaborative drug therapy management
    • Prescribe medications or devices as authorized
    • Order and interpret lab tests
  • Oversee pharmacy personnel and ensure compliance with licensure scope.
  • Maintain pharmacy security and inventory according to state and federal laws.
  • Ensure accurate dispensing of medications in line with provider orders.
  • Maintain professional licensure and attend educational workshops.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (PharmD preferred)
  • Experience:
    • Community or ambulatory pharmacy experience preferred
    • PGY-1 or PGY-2 residency experience is equivalent to years of licensed pharmacist work
  • Licensure:
    • Active OR State Pharmacist License required
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of community pharmacy practice
    • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
    • Knowledge of state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office and pharmacy software systems

  • Drug Testing:
    • Required for controlled substances before employment and subject to testing throughout employment.
