Job Overview:

We are seeking a Patent Search Senior Analyst to join our IP Search Team in Noida. This role offers the opportunity to support Fortune 100 companies across various phases of the IP Life Cycle Management. You will work on diverse projects such as Prior-art Searching (patentability/validity/invalidity), evidence-of-use, freedom-to-operate searches, and more, specifically within the Electronics, Electrical, and Semiconductor domains.

The team comprises 15+ members reporting to the Sr. Manager/Director, and we are looking for candidates with experience or aptitude to work with emerging technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patent Searching & Analysis:
    • Conduct comprehensive Prior-art Searches (patentability, validity, invalidity), evidence-of-use, freedom-to-operate, and state of the art searches.
    • Study inventions to identify their novel aspects and conduct online searches accordingly.
    • Determine the validity of patents by studying patent prosecution history and infringement complaint documents.
    • Derive insights from patents and scientific literature within the relevant technology domain.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Adhere to and ensure compliance with set quality standards to meet customer requirements.
    • Assist clients in managing their patent portfolios and provide solutions across the patent lifecycle.

Required Qualifications:

  • Work Experience: At least 1 year of experience in IP services.
  • Education:
    • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, VLSI, Power Electronics, or a related field.
    • Thorough knowledge of basic electronics and electrical circuits.
  • Skills & Expertise:
    • Proficiency in performing invalidity, patentability, freedom-to-operate, and evidence-of-use searches.
    • Solid understanding of Intellectual Property (IP) fundamentals and US Patent Law.
    • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and other relevant tools.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education: PhD in Electronics, Electrical, VLSI, Power Electronics, or related fields.
  • Certifications: IP and/or AI/ML related certifications.
  • Patent Law Knowledge: Familiarity with US, CN, and EP patent laws.

About the Team:

  • Our team consists of 15+ members who report to the Sr. Manager/Director. The team primarily works on patent search projects within the electronics, electrical, semiconductor, and physics domains.

Work Hours:

  • This is a full-time role, requiring 40 hours per week (excluding breaks).
  • Work Mode: Hybrid (subject to change).
