Role Overview:
The OSD Production Operator will be responsible for performing tablet compression operations, machine setup, troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with cGMP, GDP, and data integrity (ALCOA+) standards. The role involves hands-on operation of compression machines and associated equipment, supporting production efficiency, quality, and audit readiness.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and manage tablet compression machines and associated equipment, including metal detectors, dedusting machines, and optionally coating machines.
Perform machine setup, changeovers, cleaning, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance to ensure efficient production.
Handle in-process quality control (IPQC) instruments such as Halogen moisture analyzer, Tap density apparatus, sieve shaker, and Hardness tester.
Maintain production areas according to cGMP and client audit requirements, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and safety.
Support internal and external audits, client visits, and regulatory inspections.
Ensure adherence to data integrity principles (ALCOA+), Good Documentation Practices (GDP), and Syngene’s quality standards.
Actively contribute to EHS compliance, safety goals, and operational discipline in the workplace.
Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets and maintain high-quality standards.
Educational Qualifications:
Diploma in Pharmacy, Diploma in Engineering, or Graduation in any relevant stream
Technical & Functional Skills:
Expertise in tablet compression operations is mandatory; exposure to bottle packing and tablet coating operations is advantageous.
Hands-on experience in machine operation, troubleshooting, and cleaning.
Knowledge of cGMP, GDP, and ALCOA+ data integrity concepts.
Experience with audit handling and maintaining production area standards.
