Role Overview:
The OSD Production Operator will be responsible for performing tablet compression operations, machine setup, troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with cGMP, GDP, and data integrity (ALCOA+) standards. The role involves hands-on operation of compression machines and associated equipment, supporting production efficiency, quality, and audit readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and manage tablet compression machines and associated equipment, including metal detectors, dedusting machines, and optionally coating machines.

  • Perform machine setup, changeovers, cleaning, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance to ensure efficient production.

  • Handle in-process quality control (IPQC) instruments such as Halogen moisture analyzer, Tap density apparatus, sieve shaker, and Hardness tester.

  • Maintain production areas according to cGMP and client audit requirements, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and safety.

  • Support internal and external audits, client visits, and regulatory inspections.

  • Ensure adherence to data integrity principles (ALCOA+), Good Documentation Practices (GDP), and Syngene’s quality standards.

  • Actively contribute to EHS compliance, safety goals, and operational discipline in the workplace.

  • Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets and maintain high-quality standards.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Pharmacy, Diploma in Engineering, or Graduation in any relevant stream

Technical & Functional Skills:

  • Expertise in tablet compression operations is mandatory; exposure to bottle packing and tablet coating operations is advantageous.

  • Hands-on experience in machine operation, troubleshooting, and cleaning.

  • Knowledge of cGMP, GDP, and ALCOA+ data integrity concepts.

  • Experience with audit handling and maintaining production area standards.
