Position Overview

We are seeking a full-time Wound Care Nurse Practitioner to join our growing, community-based Wound Care/Hyperbaric Medicine practice in Aberdeen, MD. This outpatient-based role offers the opportunity to work with a collegial team, providing wound care treatments and overseeing patient care in our wound care center. This position comes with no weekend or call requirements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide outpatient wound care management in a dedicated wound care center.
  • Deliver care to patients in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
  • Utilize specialized skills for the treatment of chronic wounds, including hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBO).
  • No weekend or call requirements, ensuring a balanced work schedule.

Qualifications

  • Education:
    • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), with completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
    • Unrestricted license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Maryland.
    • Completion of a 40-hour introductory hyperbaric medicine course approved by the Undersea & Hyperbaric Medicine Society (UHMS) or equivalent, within the last three years.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of two years of wound care nursing experience.
    • At least two years of experience as an Adult Nurse Practitioner (preferred).
    • Previous outpatient setting experience preferred.
  • Certifications:
    • ACLS certification (if hyperbaric treatments are provided outside the main hospital or response time for a code exceeds five minutes).
    • NPI number and DEA.
