Role Overview

The Modular Content Specialist will manage end-to-end modular content workflows within Veeva Vault, ensuring accurate classification, metadata application, compliance, and governance of digital assets. This role is critical in transforming core brand assets into reusable, compliant modular components that support efficient omnichannel content delivery across global pharmaceutical brands.


Key Responsibilities

Modular Content Management

  • Identify suitable core brand assets for modularization across therapeutic areas

  • Deconstruct approved assets into reusable modular components for upload into the Veeva component library

  • Create, apply, and validate metadata and taxonomy structures within Veeva Vault

  • Tag and classify key messages and claims to enable accurate selection via Veeva picklists

  • Ensure consistency and accuracy of metadata configuration across all modular assets

Claims, Compliance & Traceability

  • Ensure all claims are correctly tagged and mapped to source assets and references

  • Validate claim-to-reference traceability in accordance with MLR and regulatory requirements

  • Perform final compliance checks to confirm all required claims are approved and available in Veeva

Asset Review & Governance

  • Conduct final quality and governance validation to ensure approved assets are accurately uploaded into Veeva DAM

  • Support digital asset governance standards and controlled lifecycle management

Training & Documentation

  • Develop and maintain SOPs, training materials, and workflow documentation for modular content practices

  • Provide hands-on guidance, best practices, and enablement support to internal teams and stakeholders

  • Support adoption of modular content frameworks across brands and regions


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or a related discipline

  • 6–7 years of relevant experience in modular content management, digital asset management, or content operations within regulated industries

  • Proven experience working in pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare advertising environments

  • Hands-on experience with Veeva Vault (DAM, PromoMats, or Modular Content) or similar enterprise content management systems

  • Strong understanding of MLR processes, metadata frameworks, taxonomy, and digital asset governance

  • Excellent attention to detail with a compliance-first mindset


Must-Have Skills

  • Demonstrated experience developing and managing modular content frameworks for pharmaceutical brands

  • Expertise in metadata strategy, taxonomy design, and asset classification

  • Strong knowledge of claims management, traceability, and regulatory compliance

  • Ability to create structured training materials and conduct stakeholder enablement sessions or workshops
