Job Overview

The Associate Manager, Medical Communications and Content Solutions, develops and supports the creation of high-quality medical content under supervision. This role contributes to the development, review, and delivery of diverse medical communications, ensuring scientific accuracy, compliance, and alignment with therapeutic area priorities. The position also supports adoption of emerging technologies, including generative AI platforms, to enhance content creation efficiency and innovation.


Key Responsibilities

Medical Content Development

  • Develop medical affairs content, including abstracts, manuscripts, congress posters/presentations, graphical abstracts, systematic literature reviews, plain language summaries, slide decks, medical education resources, social media, infographics, videos, multimedia, and other external-facing materials under guidance and supervision.

  • Conduct research, organize, compile, interpret, and quality-check technical and medical information for assigned projects.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams (Graphics, Compliance, Statistics, AI) to provide solutions and ensure high-quality deliverables.

  • Support project execution within expected timelines, maintaining adherence to quality, regulatory, and compliance standards.

Training and Skill Development

  • Receive and participate in training on relevant tools, processes, and new generative AI platforms for efficient and compliant content creation.

  • Develop expertise in at least one new tool or skill for content creation, aligning with current industry trends.

  • Track project progress, identify issues, and implement solutions with guidance from the manager.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders across regions and cultures.

  • Contribute to team knowledge sharing and process improvement initiatives.

  • Support the adoption of technology and innovative approaches in medical content development.


Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Advanced scientific degree (MS, MRes, MPharm, PhD, PharmD, MBBS/MD).

  • 2+ years of experience in pharmaceutical medicine, medical affairs, medical compliance, or related roles.

  • Proven ability to take ownership of work while aligning with senior colleagues on scope, timelines, and quality expectations.

  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Experience in medical writing, academic writing, or communications within an agency, CRO, pharmaceutical, or biotech organization.

  • Effective verbal and written English communication skills adaptable for various audiences.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team and utilize technology for medical content development.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise in specific therapeutic areas.

  • Experience in medical content creation, including multimedia and omnichannel formats.

  • Ability to rapidly adopt and implement new digital content tools, technologies, and resources.

  • Prior global or international work or educational experience.
