Role Overview

Indegene is seeking a meticulous Copy Editor to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and compliance of promotional and scientific content across print and digital platforms. This role is critical to maintaining high editorial standards while ensuring adherence to brand guidelines, regulatory requirements, and digital functionality expectations.

The ideal candidate will have strong proofreading skills, familiarity with medical promotional content, and experience working within regulated pharmaceutical environments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Screen metadata and route materials to appropriate reviewers within defined workflows

  • Proofread promotional content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, language consistency, and brand style adherence across print and digital assets

  • Identify inconsistencies, awkward phrasing, and deviations from approved standards

  • Review reference lists for compliance with the AMA Manual of Style

  • Proofread Important Safety Information (ISI) against approved reference versions

  • Conduct word-to-word comparisons against previous versions to identify discrepancies

  • Verify accurate implementation of changes across all review stages, including:

    • Post-MLR reviews

    • Print proofs

    • Final approved samples for adaptation

    • Functional and quality reviews

  • Validate that all hyperlinks, buttons, and interactive elements are functional and route to intended destinations

  • Ensure compliance with digital standards, including correct size and visibility of ISI, legal disclaimers, and mandatory content

  • Perform quality checks on interactivities such as swipe, tap, and device-based functionalities


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Graduation in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or a related discipline

  • 2–5 years of professional experience in copy editing, proofreading, or content quality review within pharmaceutical, healthcare, or medical communications environments

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to editorial accuracy

  • Excellent command of written English and language consistency standards


Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Familiarity with typesetting guidelines

  • Working knowledge of the AMA Style Guide

  • Basic proficiency in MS Excel

  • Exposure to Veeva PromoMats and Medical Legal Regulatory (MLR) review processes
