Job Overview
Parexel is seeking an experienced Scientific Specialist – Medical Information to support global medical communication activities. This remote role is ideal for professionals with a strong scientific background and hands-on experience in medical writing, literature evaluation, and responding to medical information queries from healthcare stakeholders.
The role requires expertise in evidence-based content development, cross-functional collaboration, and strict adherence to quality, compliance, and timelines.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive literature searches using PubMed and other subscribed scientific databases; validate and document relevant references.
Develop, review, and update Global Standard Scientific Response Content (gSSRCs) and FAQs in line with approved templates and style guides.
Respond to escalated medical information queries from internal teams and external stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, patients, and caregivers.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure accuracy and consistency of medical content.
Follow best practices in process adherence, scientific communication, documentation, and project management.
Participate in required training programs and assigned learning initiatives.
Ensure strict compliance with quality standards, confidentiality, data security, and regulatory timelines.
Education & Experience Requirements
Educational Qualification: Advanced scientific degree such as PharmD, MD, PhD, or Master’s degree in a life sciences discipline.
Experience Level:
3–5 years of experience as a Medical Writer or Scientific Writer
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in medical content development
Preferred Experience:
Scientific publication writing including manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and presentations
Exposure to one or more therapeutic areas such as Cardiovascular Renal Metabolism (CRM), Respiratory, Inflammation, Immunology, or Oncology
