Role Overview
Indegene is looking for a detail-oriented Proofreader to support global pharmaceutical clients by ensuring the highest standards of language accuracy, consistency, and compliance in promotional and scientific materials. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong command of English, an eye for detail, and experience working in regulated medical or healthcare environments.
Key Responsibilities
Edit and proofread promotional and scientific content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, syntax, and language consistency
Ensure adherence to brand style guides, client-specific guidelines, and regulatory requirements
Format documents in accordance with journal and congress submission guidelines
Ensure compliance with established style guides, including the AMA Manual of Style
Deliver consistently high-quality edits within defined timelines, meeting or exceeding client expectations
Collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Contribute to team initiatives such as knowledge-sharing activities and documentation of editorial resources
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, English, Pharmacy, or a related discipline
1–3 years of professional experience in proofreading, editing, or content quality review within healthcare, pharmaceutical, or medical communications domains
Excellent written and spoken English skills; TOEFL/IELTS certification is preferred
Strong attention to detail and commitment to editorial excellence
Functional proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat
Proven ability to manage tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality
Preferred Skills (Good to Have)
Prior experience with pharmaceutical promotional materials
Familiarity with medical or scientific documentation standards
Exposure to regulated content review environments
