Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the Statistical Programming department meets timelines, delivers high-quality results, adheres to contractual and regulatory requirements, and operates within budget.
  • Contribute to the development of SOPs and guidelines, promoting consistency and efficiency within the department.
  • Oversee staff development, training, and retention by setting goals, evaluating performance, monitoring training needs, and mentoring team members.
  • Facilitate succession planning and maintain a team with diverse skills to meet business needs.
  • Actively participate in hiring, onboarding, staff transfers, and terminations.
  • Maintain expertise in clinical drug development, ICH guidelines, and statistical programming to effectively mentor the team.
  • Develop and provide training sessions for Statistical Programming associates.
  • Manage project priorities and resolve conflicts between teams or individuals to drive operational efficiency.
  • Assign Statistical Programmers to projects based on skillsets, experience, and utilization goals.
  • Lead or support projects across multiple studies or programs.
  • Contribute to business development activities as needed.
  • Participate in or lead corporate or departmental initiatives.
  • Perform additional work-related duties as assigned.
  • Minimal travel may be required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
  • Extensive experience in statistical programming in clinical trials, with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Proven management experience or demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Strong ability to prioritize projects and manage resources effectively.
  • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and persuade stakeholders.
