Medical Science Liaison – Oncology & Hematology

Job Description:
Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) in Oncology & Hematology to engage with healthcare professionals (HCPs) and thought leaders in a field-based role. The MSL will focus on developing and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders, providing scientific support, and ensuring patients have access to BMS medicines. The role involves a significant amount of time spent in the field, with the primary goal of advancing science and optimizing medical practice.

Key Responsibilities:

External Environment and Customer Focus

  • Build and maintain interactions with Thought Leaders (TLs) and HCPs to answer scientific questions about products and Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR).
  • Develop and execute a medical interaction plan with Key Accounts (Army, Railways, CGHS, etc.).
  • Present information to HCPs, ensuring medical accuracy and compliance.
  • Assess the medical landscape by meeting with TLs and staying updated on treatment strategies and unmet medical needs.
  • Provide valuable insights to the medical and commercial teams to support strategy development.

Provide Medical Support

  • Offer scientific and clinical data presentations at promotional meetings.
  • Provide product-specific training and scientific updates to internal stakeholders.

Support Clinical Trial Activities

  • Assist with Interventional and Non-Interventional Research (NIR) studies and support patient recruitment.
  • Support CRO-sponsored studies and help with Investigator Sponsored Research (ISR) submissions.

Contribute to Patient Advocacy

  • Support patient education programs and collaborate with patient advocacy groups.

Report Safety Information

  • Report adverse events in line with BMS Standard Operating Procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Education: MBBS, MD, BDS, MDS
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in Field Medical Affairs, with a preference for candidates with expertise in Oncology and Hematology.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of clinical trial design and process.
  • Ability to understand and explain scientific and clinical data to healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player.
