Job Description:

The Medical Information Specialist is a critical role within the Medical Information Contact Center (MICC) team, supporting the safe and effective use of pharmaceutical products. This position provides scientifically balanced, evidence-based, non-promotional medical information in response to unsolicited inquiries from healthcare professionals, patients, caregivers, and payers. The role also involves handling adverse events and product complaints in a compliant and timely manner.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to Inquiries: Provide accurate, evidence-based responses to medical information inquiries from healthcare professionals, consumers, and payers.
  • Adverse Event and Product Complaint Management: Identify and document adverse events and product complaints in compliance with regulations. Create narratives for adverse event intake and medical inquiries.
  • Multi-Channel Support: Handle requests via phone, email, CRM, chat, and other platforms.
  • Product Quality Complaints: Coordinate with internal departments (Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs) to handle product quality-related complaints.
  • Knowledge Maintenance: Stay updated on product, therapeutic area, and client-specific knowledge to ensure accurate and high-quality responses.
  • Documentation and Customer Service: Ensure good documentation practices and deliver excellent customer service throughout all interactions.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Pharm.D., Master of Science (MSc), B.Pharm, M.Pharm, or any other Life Sciences degree.
  • Experience: Strong clinical background with excellent documentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Language: Must speak, read, and write in English fluently.
