Role Overview:
Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Marketing Specialist I to support web production and digital marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate will combine strong web content management experience with customer-focused design principles, SEO expertise, and proficiency in web analytics. This role ensures Thermo Fisher’s digital presence is accurate, optimized, and engaging for customers worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage web pages using CMS platforms such as Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and WordPress, including HTML/CSS customization.

  • Collaborate with marketing teams to understand web content requirements and provide guidance on UX and design improvements.

  • Manage workflow, timelines, and deliverables using project management tools such as Workfront, ensuring timely completion of multiple simultaneous projects.

  • Optimize web graphics and assets using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Express; manage marketing documents, images, and videos in asset management systems.

  • Maintain web content accuracy, accessibility, and SEO performance by addressing issues identified via website audit tools (e.g., Site Improve).

  • Support data quality initiatives, including master data management, data cleaning, and formatting to ensure consistency and usability.

  • Analyze web analytics and provide insights to improve user experience and digital campaign performance.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Marketing, Communications, IT, or a related field.

Experience & Technical Skills Required:

  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience managing customer-facing websites.

  • Proficiency in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and WordPress; experience with OpenText Media and Brightcove is a plus.

  • Working knowledge of SEO principles, HTML, CSS, and web analytics.

  • Experience with digital asset management and graphic optimization.

  • Hands-on experience with project management tools (e.g., Workfront).

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) including data manipulation using formulas, VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros, and Charts.

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with global cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and drive initiatives with minimal supervision.
