Job Summary

A leading pharmaceutical manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Manager – Security for its Jhagadia facility. The ideal candidate will oversee site security operations, manage third-party security vendors, implement global security policies, and ensure a safe and compliant working environment as per Abbott Global Security standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee security operations including third-party officers and supervisors.

  • Develop and manage performance metrics for security vendors and staff.

  • Manage the facility’s security budget and ensure cost-effective operations.

  • Provide regular security briefings and training for security staff.

  • Supervise the site’s Security Command Centre, ensuring 24/7 monitoring.

  • Support the EHS team in fostering safe workplace practices.

  • Regularly coordinate with security vendors on performance and requirements.

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company-specific security standards.

  • Lead site-level security incident response and emergency preparedness.

  • Investigate and report security breaches, thefts, or incidents to senior management.

  • Implement food defense measures and ensure adherence to global security policies.

  • Maintain active liaison with local law enforcement and industry bodies like GIDC/Jhagadia Industrial Association.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Graduate in any discipline; Diploma in Safety or Industrial Relations preferred.

  • Short Service Commissioned Ex-Army Officer preferred.

  • 5–7 years of experience in security management within manufacturing setups.

  • Strong adaptability, problem-solving, teamwork, and integrity.

  • Excellent interpersonal, persuasive, and communication skills.

  • Deep understanding of facility security operations, risk mitigation, and emergency response planning.

  • Familiarity with regulatory and global corporate security policies.
