Job Summary
A leading pharmaceutical manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Manager – Security for its Jhagadia facility. The ideal candidate will oversee site security operations, manage third-party security vendors, implement global security policies, and ensure a safe and compliant working environment as per Abbott Global Security standards.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee security operations including third-party officers and supervisors.
Develop and manage performance metrics for security vendors and staff.
Manage the facility’s security budget and ensure cost-effective operations.
Provide regular security briefings and training for security staff.
Supervise the site’s Security Command Centre, ensuring 24/7 monitoring.
Support the EHS team in fostering safe workplace practices.
Regularly coordinate with security vendors on performance and requirements.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company-specific security standards.
Lead site-level security incident response and emergency preparedness.
Investigate and report security breaches, thefts, or incidents to senior management.
Implement food defense measures and ensure adherence to global security policies.
Maintain active liaison with local law enforcement and industry bodies like GIDC/Jhagadia Industrial Association.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Graduate in any discipline; Diploma in Safety or Industrial Relations preferred.
Short Service Commissioned Ex-Army Officer preferred.
5–7 years of experience in security management within manufacturing setups.
Strong adaptability, problem-solving, teamwork, and integrity.
Excellent interpersonal, persuasive, and communication skills.
Deep understanding of facility security operations, risk mitigation, and emergency response planning.
Familiarity with regulatory and global corporate security policies.
