Position Overview

Our team combines scientific excellence with high operational standards, supporting clinical studies across diverse therapeutic areas. We are currently seeking a Manager, Clinic Operations to oversee clinical departments, ensure study quality, and guide operational performance at our Las Vegas facility.

This role requires strong leadership, operational expertise, and a commitment to ensuring safety and compliance throughout all clinical activities.


Role Summary

The Manager of Clinic Operations supervises multiple clinical departments and leads the training, development, and performance of clinical teams. The role ensures safe and efficient execution of clinical studies by overseeing clinic operations, volunteer scheduling, regulatory compliance, and workflow optimization. Collaboration with executive leadership, business development, and cross-functional teams is central to this position.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise activities within assigned clinical departments.

  • Work closely with Team Leaders to support operational excellence across clinical teams.

  • Evaluate departmental performance, ensuring ongoing quality and efficiency in clinic operations.

  • Collaborate with the Medical Director during feasibility assessments to confirm volunteer safety considerations.

  • Manage internal and external communications related to clinic scheduling, bed space, and client deliverables.

  • Lead the training, development, and workflow coordination of staff to support complex clinical processes.

  • Oversee staff management activities, including hiring, development, performance management, coaching, and disciplinary actions.

  • Approve time records, leave requests, expense reports, and salary-related decisions.

  • Interpret and implement policies, standard operating procedures, and operational strategies.

  • Ensure overall compliance with ICH/GCP, FDA regulations, and internal quality standards.


Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification required.

  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant clinical research, healthcare, or operational experience.

  • At least 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience.

  • Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be considered.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong understanding of ICH/GCP, FDA guidelines, and clinical operations standards.

  • Excellent organizational, time management, and decision-making skills.

  • Strong communication abilities, both oral and written.

  • Proven capability in performance management and staff development.

  • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn clinical software systems.

  • Ability to motivate teams, mentor staff, and coordinate across multiple departments.


Management Scope

  • Manages experienced clinical professionals and/or subordinate managers.

  • Leads one or more clinical sections or operational units with significant responsibility and autonomy.


Working Conditions

  • Work conducted in an office and clinical environment with exposure to medical equipment.

  • Potential exposure to biological samples and infectious materials.

  • Requires use of personal protective equipment including lab coats, safety glasses, gloves, and other PPE.

  • Occasional travel to site locations, frequent domestic travel, and rare international travel.

  • Occasional exposure to fluctuating temperatures.


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to remain standing or stationary for 6–8 hours per day.

  • Repetitive hand movements and full dexterity for clinical tasks and computer use.

  • Frequent mobility, bending, twisting of upper body and neck.

  • Ability to lift 15–20 lbs (luggage, equipment, laptops).

  • Ability to communicate moderately complex clinical information clearly.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-demand environment while maintaining accuracy.

  • Consistent and reliable attendance is required.
