Job Summary:

Join Cognizant as a German Speaking Pharmacovigilance QC Associate (Maternity Cover) to support the translation, quality control, and data entry of Adverse Event (AE) reports. You will ensure accurate, complete, and timely processing of cases while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and internal SOPs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Receipt, download, and acceptance of cases from Document Exchange Tool or other sources.

  • Translate European non-English source documents to English and update Standard AE forms.

  • Save local language source documents and AE forms in common drives/folders.

  • Triage cases for validity and seriousness.

  • Perform duplicate searches and book-in initial/follow-up cases.

  • Enter mandatory information into Argus Affiliate/Core database.

  • Conduct self/peer QC of cases before routing to central processing.

  • Anonymize/redact source documents and AE forms as required.

  • Maintain daily case tracking spreadsheets with LAM/Argus IDs.

  • Handle queries from central processing sites and follow up with Country Organization (CO) as needed.

  • Generate follow-up action items for serious, fatal, life-threatening, pregnancy, and non-cases.

  • Transfer letters and source documents for PSI book-in activity via Document Exchange Tool.

  • Ensure cases are medically relevant, complete, and accurate per SOPs.

  • Ensure scientific rigor in data entry and verify AE terms and safety data accuracy.

  • Identify missing or incorrect clinically relevant information and facilitate corrections.

  • Provide feedback, monitor performance, and collaborate with TCBAs to improve quality.

  • Identify root causes, suggest corrective/preventive actions, and respond to TCBA queries.

  • Assist with administrative and procedural activities, training, mentorship, audits, and inspections.

  • Maintain knowledge of ICH guidelines.


Requirements:

  • Education: Graduate/Postgraduate/Doctorate in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medical Sciences, or equivalent.

  • Experience: Freshers to 2+ years in Pharmacovigilance preferred.

  • Languages: Good spoken and written English and German (B2 CEFR minimum) or native non-English speaker with education in English and German.
