Front Office Assistant – Surgical Oncology (Augusta, GA)
Job Overview
Piedmont Medical Care Corporation is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Front Office Assistant to support its Surgical Oncology practice. This role provides essential administrative and front-office support to ensure smooth clinic operations and an efficient patient experience. The position works under the supervision of the Practice Manager or Front Office Supervisor and requires the ability to follow established procedures while exercising independent judgment as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Perform a wide range of non-clinical administrative duties to support the physician practice.
Manage patient scheduling, check-in, check-out, and documentation processes.
Coordinate communication between patients, providers, and clinical staff to maintain efficient workflow.
Maintain accurate records, handle front-office inquiries, and support daily operational activities.
Ensure adherence to organizational policies, confidentiality standards, and quality service expectations.
Required Qualifications
Education
High School Diploma or GED required.
Associate’s Degree preferred.
Experience
Minimum 1 year of related experience, preferably in a medical office environment, required.
An Associate’s Degree may be substituted in place of the experience requirement.
