Job Description
Position: Specialty Pharmacy Liaison

The Specialty Pharmacy Liaison is the primary point of contact for internal and external communications regarding the status of cases, prescription processing, and reimbursement with specialty pharmacies in the network. This role involves working directly with operations for patient processing and collaborating with account management to ensure effective communication with partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and facilitate conference calls with specialty pharmacy contacts (and clients, if applicable) to monitor patient progress, reconcile data discrepancies, research missing data, handle inquiries, and provide updates as needed.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, document minutes, and maintain a log of action items with specialty pharmacies.
  • Support patient-specific issues to ensure timely referral processing and resolution, including follow-up reconciliation with specialty pharmacies.
  • Act as the primary contact for client and customer inquiries and escalations related to specialty pharmacy issues.
  • Provide exceptional, "white glove" customer service to both internal and external customers, addressing requests accurately and promptly; escalate as necessary.
  • Resolve complex issues independently, demonstrating creativity and innovation.
  • Contribute to building and maintaining respectful, collaborative relationships with internal and external teams, promoting positivity and teamwork.
  • Additional duties as assigned, with reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities.

Expectations:

  • Manage and report on referral/prescription processes.
  • Collaborate with specialty pharmacies on case recovery efforts.
  • Track patient progress within the specialty pharmacy network, ensuring reconciliation.
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients and internal teams, managing requests in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Demonstrate creativity in resolving complex issues.
  • Maintain excellent attendance.
  • Ability to adapt to other responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • At least 5 years of experience working with specialty pharmacies.
  • Expert knowledge in patient assistance, reimbursement, medical benefit management, denials, and prior authorizations.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare administration, billing, and reimbursement procedures.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Positive attitude and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or a Business-related discipline.

Physical/Mental Demands and Working Environment:

  • The role requires frequent periods of sitting, standing, walking, and talking.
  • Occasional lifting (up to 25 pounds).
  • Moderate office noise with frequent interruptions.
  • The position requires focus, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation and Benefits:

EVERSANA offers competitive salaries and benefits. The expected base salary range for this position is $67,500 to $94,000, and compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and location. This salary range is applicable to positions based in the U.S. only. EVERSANA reserves the right to modify this salary range at any time.
