Position Summary:

As a District Support Pharmacist at CVS Health, you will be responsible for overseeing pharmacy operations and ensuring patient safety and care within the community healthcare setting. You will work closely with the Pharmacy Manager and support staff to manage pharmacy functions, ensure regulatory compliance, and implement quality assurance practices. Your role will focus on improving patient health outcomes through adoption and management of care programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Safety: Ensure the safety of patients through adherence to best practices in pharmacy operations.
  • Pharmacy Operations: Oversee and support pharmacy professional practice, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, and customer service.
  • Personnel Management: Supervise Pharmacy Technician Support Staff, balancing assignments, addressing development opportunities, and encouraging knowledge growth.
  • Inventory Management & Financial Profitability: Manage inventory and ensure the financial success of the pharmacy through effective loss prevention and cost management.
  • Collaboration & Teamwork: Foster a supportive, energetic, and collaborative team culture.
  • Business Growth: Identify critical business opportunities and contribute to solutions that drive growth and improve pharmacy performance.
  • Healthcare Program Management: Lead patient care programs to ensure that customers and patients achieve optimal health outcomes.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Pharmacy License in the state of employment.
  • Immunization Certification (e.g., APhA).
  • Not on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
  • Free from pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm. D. degree.

Pay Range:

  • Hourly Rate: $60.00 - $71.00 (Base hourly rate or base annual salary depending on experience, education, and geographic location).
