Job Title: Associate/Professor and Director, Division of Rheumatology, Allergy, and Immunology – University of Cincinnati

Job Overview:
The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine is seeking a Division Director for the Division of Rheumatology, Allergy, and Immunology. As a leader, this role will align with the College’s mission to deliver top-tier clinical care, research, and education. The Director will provide leadership for a diverse team, manage a broad clinical portfolio, foster research growth, and support residency and medical student training. This role offers opportunities for faculty development, strategic planning, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a wide-ranging clinical portfolio addressing consultative, procedural, and tertiary care needs for UC Physicians and the Primary Care Network.
  • Develop and implement strategies for expanding clinical and basic science research within the division.
  • Optimize the utilization of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
  • Participate in strategic planning and set clinical productivity targets.
  • Manage divisional finances and set annual academic, clinical, and research goals.
  • Engage in faculty recruitment, mentorship, and conduct annual faculty evaluations.
  • Foster collaboration with other departments and support new initiatives, including telemedicine.
  • Provide leadership in setting academic standards and goals.

Minimum Requirements:

  • MD, DO, MD/PhD, or equivalent.
  • Board certification in Rheumatology or Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology.
  • Unrestricted Ohio Medical License.
  • Current faculty appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor.
  • At least 10 years of clinical experience, including leadership and management in a medical facility.

Desired Qualifications:

  • MBA or strong business acumen.
  • Experience building and leading interdisciplinary teams.
  • Expertise in communication, negotiation, conflict resolution, and decision-making.
