Job Description
Atherton Endoscopy Center is seeking a motivated Clinical Director to oversee and develop the ambulatory surgery center’s clinical departments. This position involves hiring, evaluating, mentoring, scheduling, and supervising staff. The Clinical Director will be responsible for problem-solving and using excellent critical thinking and emotional intelligence skills to support staff and ensure effective operations in a fast-paced ASC environment. The ideal candidate will bring flexible strategies for business growth while maintaining high-quality care and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and develop the clinical departments of the ambulatory surgery center.
  • Manage key tasks such as hiring, evaluating, mentoring, scheduling, and supervising staff.
  • Utilize critical thinking and emotional intelligence to solve problems and interact with staff at all levels.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Lead efforts to maintain high standards of care and effective procedures within the gastroenterology specialty.

Required Skills

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
  • Proven leadership experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in GI/endoscopy or ASCs.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance (CMS, OSHA, accreditation standards).
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMRs) and healthcare-related software.

Required Experience

  • 3-5 years of nursing experience, preferably in GI/endoscopy or ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs).
  • At least 2 years of leadership or management experience in a healthcare environment.
  • Experience with regulatory surveys and compliance audits, including preparation and follow-up.
  • Hands-on experience with quality improvement initiatives, staff development, and policy implementation.
  • Proven ability to manage clinical teams in a fast-paced, patient-focused setting.
