Certified Medical Coder – Bishop, CA (Contract)

Job Summary:

Integrated Resources, Inc. is hiring a Certified Medical Coder on a contract basis in Bishop, CA. This role involves outpatient coding, including ED and Observation, with flexibility for remote work following an initial onsite training period. Candidates must hold current AHIMA or AAPC certifications (CPC, CCS-P) and have at least 2 years of relevant coding experience. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assign accurate ICD-10, CPT codes, and modifiers based on medical record documentation.

  • Abstract required information from both paper and electronic medical records.

  • Ensure coding compliance within GE Centricity and McKesson Paragon/One Content systems using 3M software.

  • Follow established query procedures to clarify documentation.

  • Maintain productivity and accuracy levels as per company standards.

  • Participate in onsite training for 7–10 days, followed by regular onsite visits every 4–6 weeks.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Current AHIMA or AAPC Certification (CPC, CCS-P).

  • Minimum 2 years of outpatient coding experience, including ED and Observation coding.

  • Proficiency in coding systems such as ICD-10, CPT and using modifiers.

  • Experience with GE Centricity, McKesson Paragon/One Content, and 3M coding tools.

  • Ability to abstract information from both paper and electronic medical records.

  • Willingness to train onsite and attend periodic onsite sessions as required.
