About the Job:
As part of Sanofi’s Play to Win strategy and Business Operations Business Unit, the Category Analytics Expert – R&D supports the transformation of global procurement operations, specifically focusing on R&D categories. The role is part of the Insights & Productivity team, and is responsible for delivering advanced analytics, driving efficiency, and contributing to Sanofi’s innovation agenda.
Main Responsibilities:
Primary Liaison & Collaboration
Serve as the key contact for R&D Procurement.
Ensure alignment and communication between procurement, category analytics experts, and business stakeholders.
Support category and sourcing strategies to meet R&D objectives.
Project & Sourcing Service Management
Lead procurement analytics projects.
Collaborate with BPO teams to ensure timely and high-quality service delivery.
Insights & Reporting
Analyze spend data, supplier performance, and cost drivers.
Deliver category-specific reports and insights.
Provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
Innovation & Automation
Drive PoC initiatives using AI and machine learning.
Identify automation and advanced analytics opportunities to improve decision-making and efficiency.
About You:
Experience
Experience in procurement, category management, or data analytics with a focus on R&D procurement.
Background in managing clinical trials, CROs, lab services, and scientific suppliers.
Proven project management skills with global cross-functional teams.
Soft Skills and Technical Skills
Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
Ability to translate complex procurement data into actionable business insights.
Proficient in Power BI, SQL, Snowflake, or similar analytics tools.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Data Science, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field.
Languages
Fluent in English (spoken and written)
