Description:

Gilead Sciences, Inc., a global biopharmaceutical leader, is seeking a highly motivated Manager to join their Global HIV Medical Affairs team. The Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting current HIV Daily Oral Treatment strategies. This is a 9-month contractor position, with the option for remote work, but candidates based in Foster City, CA, will need to be onsite 3 days a week.

Job Overview:

The Associate Manager will collaborate with the Global and US Medical Affairs teams, as well as cross-functional partners, to ensure effective management of HIV-related medical content and projects. As a content manager, the role involves expertise in emerging HIV treatment data and supporting the Global Medical Affairs team in preparing medical deliverables. The Manager will be integral in executing the global strategy for HIV treatment, including the management of medical data, reports, and training content.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a key contributor and expert for Global HIV Treatment Medical Affairs.
  • Manage projects analyzing new, emerging data for medical content training.
  • Participate in global Medical Affairs activities, including conference data management and medical sub-team meetings.
  • Oversee the creation, review, and updates of Medical Affairs slide decks, local and global response documents, and training materials.
  • Help develop the global Plan of Action, ensuring alignment across teams.
  • Maintain the HIV SharePoint Page for disseminating information on HIV treatment products.
  • Provide ad hoc support for globalization sub-groups, including topical decks and HIV databases.
  • Support HIV Medical Affairs Advisory Programs as needed.
  • Work with cross-functional teams (Medical Scientists, Medical Information, Clinical Research, Clinical Pharmacology) to address medical inquiries.
  • Drive projects to completion by anticipating and resolving obstacles in a collaborative manner.

Qualifications:

  • MD, DO, NP, PA, PhD, PharmD, or other advanced healthcare degree.
  • 1-3 years of industry experience preferred.
  • Relevant clinical and scientific experience in HIV required.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with PowerPoint presentation experience.
  • Committed to continuous education to maintain up-to-date knowledge.
  • Ability to synthesize complex data and provide actionable recommendations.
