About the Role:

As a Statistical Programming Team Lead at ICON plc, you will oversee statistical programming deliverables, lead and mentor your team, and ensure high-quality standards across multiple programs and studies. You will play a critical leadership role in managing team performance, resource planning, and client communication.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure goals and objectives at department, program, and study levels are consistently met.

  • Supervise statistical programming team deliverables to meet expectations and quality standards.

  • Track and report staff workload to optimize utilization and effectiveness.

  • Provide both technical and managerial leadership, including direct mentoring and training.

  • Appropriately delegate tasks to develop team capabilities.

  • Conduct interim and annual performance reviews, identify development needs, and create growth plans.

  • Share performance feedback regularly with the Operations team.

  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Oversee financial and resource management activities.

  • Lead meetings with clients to discuss program metrics and updates.

  • Host internal townhalls and share project status with operational leads.


Required Experience & Skills:

  • Typically 8+ years of relevant statistical programming experience.

  • Supervisory experience in:

    • Project and resource management

    • Staff recruitment and development

    • Performance evaluations

  • Strong communication and leadership capabilities.

  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.

  • Familiarity with clinical research and regulatory standards.
