About the Role:
As a Statistical Programming Team Lead at ICON plc, you will oversee statistical programming deliverables, lead and mentor your team, and ensure high-quality standards across multiple programs and studies. You will play a critical leadership role in managing team performance, resource planning, and client communication.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure goals and objectives at department, program, and study levels are consistently met.
Supervise statistical programming team deliverables to meet expectations and quality standards.
Track and report staff workload to optimize utilization and effectiveness.
Provide both technical and managerial leadership, including direct mentoring and training.
Appropriately delegate tasks to develop team capabilities.
Conduct interim and annual performance reviews, identify development needs, and create growth plans.
Share performance feedback regularly with the Operations team.
Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Oversee financial and resource management activities.
Lead meetings with clients to discuss program metrics and updates.
Host internal townhalls and share project status with operational leads.
Required Experience & Skills:
Typically 8+ years of relevant statistical programming experience.
Supervisory experience in:
Project and resource management
Staff recruitment and development
Performance evaluations
Strong communication and leadership capabilities.
Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
Familiarity with clinical research and regulatory standards.
