Job Description – Territory Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic professional to join our team as a Territory Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, executing product management strategies, and strengthening customer relationships within your assigned region. You will play a key role in gathering customer insights, monitoring prescription trends, and supporting the launch of new products. Additionally, you will manage Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs, engage with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), and contribute to building the company’s brand presence in the market.


Roles & Responsibilities

Sales & Marketing Execution

  • Promote and launch new products by executing strategies designed by the Product Management Team (PMT).

  • Analyse market trends, consult doctors on product potential, and provide structured feedback to PMT.

  • Identify and engage Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and monitor product availability.

  • Implement brand strategies to ensure successful product penetration and adoption.

Business Development & Sales Monitoring

  • Track and monitor primary and secondary sales through regular visits to stockists and pharmacies.

  • Achieve doctor-wise and product-specific sales objectives.

  • Participate in monthly review meetings to evaluate coverage, compliance with SOPs, and expense management.

  • Contribute towards achieving area, product, and overall sales targets.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Establish and strengthen long-term relationships with doctors, stockists, and other stakeholders.

  • Address customer queries promptly using Infoginip.

  • Classify customers based on potential, determine optimal visit frequency, and monitor ROI per customer.

  • Foster loyalty by creating a strong and consistent customer base.

Key Opinion Leader (KOL) & CME Engagement

  • Meet KOLs and Key Business Leaders (KELs) regularly to drive scientific and educational collaborations.

  • Organize and facilitate CMEs based on customer and hospital interest areas.

  • Pursue KOLs/KELs to collaborate with the company on knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Market Intelligence & Reporting

  • Prepare product matrices based on doctors’ potential and preferences to align products with their needs.

  • Collect and update chemist, doctor, and Retail Chemist Prescription Audit (RCPA) data via palm top and upload on the Unnati portal.

  • Ensure timely reporting and data accuracy for better business decisions.


Qualifications

  • Education: Graduate in Science (mandatory).

  • Experience: Minimum 6 months of experience in pharmaceutical sales.

  • Basic understanding of pharmaceutical products and marketing practices.

  • Experience in implementing and analysing sales/marketing strategies.

  • Proficiency in basic computer operations.
