Job Title: Clinical Sales Specialist – Medical

Purpose of the Position

The Clinical Sales Specialist serves as a crucial liaison between Leica Microsystems' global and India marketing teams and customers. In this role, you will provide clinical expertise, product recommendations, and technical support, shaping the next generation of medical solutions for India. You will lead clinical studies, support product launches, and collaborate with the global business unit to deliver impactful presentations and training.

This role demands a deep understanding of surgical procedures, operating room workflows, and technical support, including assisting surgeons and healthcare professionals.


Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Expertise: Deliver technical support, demonstrations, installations, training, and troubleshooting for medical microscopy solutions.
  • Subject Matter Expert: Develop deep product knowledge, ensuring effective pre-sales and post-sales support.
  • Collaboration: Work with sales, marketing, and product development teams to collect customer feedback and contribute to product improvements.
  • Training: Create and deliver training sessions for customers and internal teams; maintain technical documentation and user manuals.
  • Quality Assurance: Test new products and software updates to meet performance and reliability standards.
  • Customer Relationships: Build strong connections with customers by understanding their needs and offering tailored solutions.
  • Regulatory and Documentation: Assist with regulatory submissions, review customer-facing documents, and contribute to technical publications.

Training Responsibilities

  • Complete all assigned and required training satisfactorily and on time.

Skills Required

  • Microscopy Expertise: Proficient in technologies such as light and fluorescence microscopy and image analysis software.
  • Medical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of medical device regulations, standards, and microscopy use in surgical fields like neurosurgery, ophthalmology, and ENT.
  • Training & Support: Skilled in training healthcare professionals and resolving technical issues for optimal product usage.
  • Customer Engagement: Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills to engage effectively with customers.

Our Expectations

  • Experience: Minimum of 6 years in a related role within the medical equipment industry.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering, medical technology, or a related field.
  • Technical Aptitude: Strong ability to learn and understand complex medical equipment.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and software proficiency.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel to customer sites for installations, training, and support.
