Location/Division Information:
Join us as a Warehouse Pharmacist in South Africa, where you’ll combine your pharmaceutical expertise with world-class logistics. This role offers the chance to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while ensuring the safe distribution of pharmaceutical products in compliance with strict guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform delegated functions of the Responsible Pharmacist in their absence.
  • Ensure high standards of pharmaceutical care and comply with Good Pharmacy Practice and Good Wholesale Practice in managing dispensary operations.
  • Assist with maintaining pharmacy plans, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and other legal documentation.
  • Contribute to achieving company goals and objectives.
  • Dispense study-related drugs according to specific protocols and SOPs.
  • Safeguard legal documentation and control of scheduled substances, ensuring only authorized individuals have access.
  • Supervise the safe storage and handling of scheduled substances in the pharmacy.
  • Act as a backup Site Controlled Substance Responsible Person Pharmacist when needed.
  • Coordinate logistics to ensure clinical supplies are properly received, stored, and distributed.
  • Manage returns, quarantines, destruction, expired stock, and batch recalls.
  • Supervise drug storage conditions and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Maintain 100% drug accountability and compliance with randomization codes.
  • Ensure that required environmental conditions are continually met.
  • Conduct departmental self-inspections.

Education and Experience:

  • B.Pharm degree
  • Registered with SAPC
  • Experience in a warehousing environment is advantageous
  • Proven track record in performing pharmacist responsibilities accurately
  • Experience with Good Pharmacy Practice and Good Wholesale Practice

  • Excellent communication abilities

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment
  • Capability to lift and move pharmaceutical supplies
