Position Overview

We are seeking a Clinical Pharmacist I to support clinical trials in Daytona Beach, FL. This role is ideal for pharmacists who are passionate about clinical research, regulatory compliance, and safe investigational product handling. You will collaborate with sponsors, clinical teams, and regulatory authorities while ensuring high-quality execution of pharmacy operations in clinical studies.


Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Sponsors to ensure pharmacy and dispensing operations meet study-specific requirements.

  • Review and contribute to study protocols, pharmacy manuals, and preparation documentation.

  • Maintain compliance with regulatory standards, including GxP, GMP, and GCP.

  • Oversee pharmacy equipment, inventory, and routine preparation activities.

  • Support Sponsor visits, audits, and inspections, fostering strong professional relationships.

  • Provide technical guidance to the clinical team and assist with training as required.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support study success and quality outcomes.


Required Qualifications

  • Registered Pharmacist (RPh) or PharmD in the applicable state.

  • Minimum of 2 years pharmacy experience, preferably in a hospital or clinical research setting.

  • Strong understanding of GxP standards (GMP, GCP) and regulatory compliance.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-accuracy environment.


Work Environment

  • Laboratory and clinical environment with exposure to electrical equipment.

  • Occasional travel to site locations as needed.

  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) required: protective eyewear, garments, gloves.

  • Fast-paced and dynamic setting requiring flexibility, teamwork, and adherence to protocol timelines.

  • Technology-driven workflow, with electronic data collection and reporting.


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to remain upright or stationary for 6–8 hours daily.

  • Repetitive hand movements for lab and pharmacy tasks.

  • Occasional bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting objects up to 20 lbs.

  • Regular attendance and adaptability to varied schedules.
