Position Summary:

Walmart is seeking a Pharmacist to provide pharmaceutical care to customers by processing and dispensing prescriptions, counseling on medication, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The role focuses on patient safety, operational compliance, and leadership within the pharmacy. The pharmacist will also work closely with customers, healthcare professionals, and team members to support overall healthcare initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Pharmaceutical Care: Accurately process prescriptions, administer immunizations, and provide customer counseling on medications and health needs.
  • Customer Service Leadership: Guide and mentor associates on customer service techniques, resolve customer issues, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Business Solutions: Identify business needs, develop action plans, and foster relationships with key stakeholders to meet customer and business goals.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to company and legal policies regarding pharmaceutical practices, including operational controls, loss prevention, and quality assurance.
  • Patient Safety: Promote a culture of patient care and safety, ensuring quality service and addressing potential risks.
  • Team Leadership: Foster teamwork, respect, and professional growth within the pharmacy department, helping to develop associates and encouraging a collaborative environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD degree (or equivalent FPGE from NABP).
  • License: Valid Pharmacy license by job entry date.
  • Immunization Training: Completion of an ACPE Accredited Immunization training program (e.g., APhA, Pharmacy School Curriculum, State Pharmacy Association sponsored).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in pharmacy practice is preferred but not mandatory.
