Clinical Data Lead

Role Overview:
As a Clinical Data Lead, you will define and guide the participant data journey across clinical studies—identifying data sources, overseeing transport and ingestion into client systems, and ensuring consistency, integrity, and utility of clinical data. You will act as a technical subject matter expert and a core member of study teams, working with internal teams, CROs, and vendors to enable seamless data flow and support the success of clinical trials.
Key Responsibilities:
Define participant data sources and document study data flow maps.
Lead the development of technical data specifications for ingestion into client ecosystems.
Serve as the primary contact for nonstandard data ingestion processes and work closely with enablement teams.
Reconcile data ingestion against data transfer specifications and ensure data accuracy.
Conduct study-level risk assessments for data content and advise on mitigation strategies.
Support eSource and digital health technologies with setup and technical guidance.
Evaluate new and existing vendors for data ingestion and quality standards.
Partner with data enablement teams for ingestion, harmonization, transformation, and validation of clinical data.
Contribute to internal improvements in data governance, protocol digitalization, automation, and process efficiency.
Ensure compliance with data governance frameworks and evolving regulatory requirements.
Candidate Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related discipline.
Experience: Minimum of 4 years in clinical data management and acquisition (preferably in the BioPharma industry); ideal candidates will have over 7 years of relevant experience.
Solid experience working with EDC and non-CRF data sources.
Proficiency in handling large, complex datasets and modern data platforms including Big Data and Lakehouse environments.
Strong analytical skills and ability to interface with both technical and clinical stakeholders.
Experience with vendor management and cross-functional team collaboration.
