Senior Clinical Research Associate I (Ophthalmology Experience) – Remote (India)

Job Summary

Syneos Health is hiring a Sr Clinical Research Associate I (CRA) with minimum 4 years of onsite monitoring experience and a strong background in ophthalmology trials. This is a remote, full-time role ideal for seasoned CRAs ready to contribute to global clinical research excellence. You'll work on high-impact studies in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with ICH-GCP, regulatory guidelines, and protocol standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform site qualification, initiation, monitoring, and close-out visits (on-site/remote).

  • Ensure regulatory compliance with ICH-GCP, GPP, and study protocols.

  • Assess site processes, source documents, and data accuracy in CRFs.

  • Guide site staff in query resolution and drive closure within timelines.

  • Maintain documentation such as confirmation letters, trip reports, and logs.

  • Support site compliance with investigational product (IP) handling and storage.

  • Assist in site readiness for audits and lead CRA activities as assigned.

  • May act as site liaison and collaborate with cross-functional teams.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or RN in a related field.

  • Minimum 4 years of CRA onsite monitoring experience.

  • Ophthalmology therapeutic area experience required.

  • Strong knowledge of ICH-GCP and other applicable regulatory guidelines.

  • Proficient in site and data monitoring, source document review, and EDC tools.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • Willingness to travel up to 75% as required.
