Technical Writer II – Thermo Fisher Scientific (Bangalore)

Thermo Fisher Scientific is hiring a Technical Writer II in Bangalore, Karnataka, India for its Research & Development team. This role focuses on creating clear and accurate technical documentation for bioscience and life sciences products used by laboratories and research organizations worldwide. The position involves working with cross-functional teams including R&D, product managers, quality teams, and regulatory experts to convert complex scientific and technical information into easy-to-understand manuals, user guides, and documentation. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with experience in technical writing, bioscience documentation, and scientific content creation who want to work with a global life sciences company. The estimated salary for this role ranges from ₹6 LPA to ₹10 LPA depending on experience and documentation expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, write, and edit technical manuals, user guides, and documentation for bioscience products.

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, project managers, and R&D teams to collect accurate technical information.

  • Ensure all documentation follows company standards and industry documentation practices.

  • Review and improve existing documentation to enhance clarity, consistency, and quality.

  • Manage multiple documentation projects while meeting strict deadlines.

  • Maintain and organize technical documentation repositories and templates for future use.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Bioscience or related field (advanced degree preferred).

  • 2–5 years of experience in technical writing, preferably in the life sciences or bioscience industry.

  • Experience with XML / DITA authoring tools such as Oxygen XML Editor.

  • Familiarity with component content management systems like RWS Tridion Docs is preferred.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to convert complex scientific information into clear technical documentation.
