Technical Writer I – Thermo Fisher Scientific (Bangalore)

Thermo Fisher Scientific is hiring a Technical Writer I in Bangalore, Karnataka, India for its Research & Development team. In this role, you will develop and manage technical documentation for bioscience and life sciences products used by laboratories and research organizations worldwide. You will collaborate with R&D teams, product managers, quality specialists, and regulatory experts to convert complex scientific and technical information into clear, user-friendly manuals, guides, and product documentation. The role focuses on creating accurate documentation, maintaining documentation standards, and improving existing content for clarity and consistency. This opportunity is ideal for candidates interested in technical writing, scientific documentation, bioscience content development, and product documentation in the life sciences industry. The estimated salary for this role ranges from ₹4 LPA to ₹7 LPA depending on experience, technical writing skills, and knowledge of bioscience documentation tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, write, and edit user manuals, product guides, and technical documentation for bioscience products.

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, R&D teams, and project managers to gather accurate technical information.

  • Ensure all documentation follows company standards, regulatory guidelines, and industry documentation practices.

  • Review and improve existing documentation to enhance clarity, structure, and accuracy.

  • Manage multiple documentation projects while meeting deadlines.

  • Maintain and organize technical documentation repositories, templates, and guides for future use.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Bioscience or related field (advanced degree preferred).

  • Experience or strong interest in technical writing or scientific documentation.

  • Familiarity with XML / DITA authoring tools such as Oxygen XML Editor is preferred.

  • Knowledge of component content management systems like RWS Tridion Docs is an advantage.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to translate complex scientific information into clear and structured documentation.
