Job Purpose

The Team Member – Plant will be responsible for implementing the Corporate Affairs agenda at the unit level, ensuring timely regulatory approvals, and maintaining positive stakeholder relationships. The role will support business continuity, compliance, and intelligence tracking for regulatory and policy developments affecting the plant location.


Key Responsibilities

1. Government Relations & Public Policy

  • Strengthen Government Relations in areas related to Public Policy and regulatory interactions.
  • Engage with State Government bodies and stakeholders such as FDA, Pollution Control Board, Health Department, CMO, Industries Department, Police Administration, and MIDC.
  • Execute Corporate Affairs stakeholder engagement strategies at the unit locations.

2. Stakeholder Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new external stakeholders.
  • Track ministerial/ bureaucratic reshuffles and appointments for proactive engagement.
  • Maintain a regular engagement rhythm (weekly/monthly) with relevant officials.
  • Represent the plant location in government hearings, proposals, and briefings.

3. Risk Management & Business Continuity

  • Ensure business continuity by mitigating risks related to critical incidents and IR issues.
  • Advocate and negotiate with external stakeholders for smooth plant operations.

4. Compliance & Business Support

  • Support Site Management, HR, EHS, and Admin in regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee unit-level compliance issues and conduct monthly compliance reviews.
  • Support in obtaining regulatory approvals such as EC, CFO, CTE, Fire NOC, and safety trainings.
  • Track state pollution norms, MOEF policies, and align internal stakeholders to avoid risks.
  • Assist in investment/divestment-related regulatory approvals.

5. Industry Engagement & Intelligence Tracking

  • Ensure active engagement with state-level industry bodies and events.
  • Track government notifications, industry incentives, and policy updates.
  • Represent Cipla in key state-level events and discussions.

6. Cipla Foundation & CSR Initiatives

  • Support the Cipla Foundation team in executing CSR initiatives.
  • Engage with government and community stakeholders for CSR-related matters.

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

  • MBA / B.Pharm / M.Pharm

Experience:

  • 7-10 years of experience in Corporate Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, or Government Relations.
  • Strong expertise in stakeholder engagement and regulatory compliance.
