Job Purpose

The Team Lead – Plants will be responsible for ensuring timely regulatory approvals, stakeholder engagement, and business continuity at the state level. The role involves liaising with government authorities, maintaining compliance, mitigating risks, and supporting site management to facilitate smooth operations for new and existing projects.


Key Responsibilities

1. Regulatory Approvals & Compliance

  • Ensure timely approvals from government and regulatory authorities.
  • Support cross-functional teams in expediting approvals for new projects and licenses.
  • Ensure execution of plant-level compliance tasks and maintain key unit regulatory approvals.
  • Provide strategic guidance for project execution and closure.

2. Stakeholder Relationship Management

  • Map key government stakeholders and develop advocacy engagement strategies.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with government officials and industry stakeholders.
  • Maintain a structured engagement schedule (weekly/monthly) with relevant authorities.

3. Business Continuity & Risk Mitigation

  • Support plant teams in handling critical incidents and IR issues.
  • Negotiate with external stakeholders to mitigate business risks.
  • Ensure smooth functioning of operations by proactively addressing regulatory hurdles.

4. Site Management & Business Support

  • Assist site leadership, EHS teams, and compliance teams in meeting regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with EC, CFO, CTE, FIRE NOC, safety training, and pollution norms.
  • Track and align state-level policy changes affecting Cipla’s operations.
  • Monitor state industry policies, incentives, and provide timely updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Support approvals related to investment and divestment projects.

5. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Support

  • Support Cipla Foundation's CSR initiatives by facilitating government and community engagements.
  • Provide strategic advisory on external stakeholder requests related to CSR activities.

6. Industry Engagement & Intelligence Tracking

  • Represent Cipla in state-level industry bodies and events.
  • Track state notifications and news for early insights into policy changes.
  • Ensure timely updates on regulatory intelligence impacting business operations.

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

  • MBA / B.Pharm / M.Pharm OR Ex-Government Official

Experience:

  • 10-15 years of experience in Corporate Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, or Government Relations.
  • Strong expertise in stakeholder engagement and regulatory compliance.
