Job Title: Manager, Global Sourcing
Location: Office-Based (Hybrid)

Job Overview

The Manager of Global Sourcing will play a critical role in developing, managing, and executing category strategies that align with Fortrea’s strategic imperatives and mission. This role positions the Global Procurement Services organization as a trusted strategic partner across the enterprise.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and execute category strategies to support Fortrea’s objectives.

  • Partner with enterprise leaders to ensure efficient and effective category strategies, preferred suppliers, and competitive supplier evaluations.

  • Lead cross-functional stakeholder teams on strategic sourcing initiatives, ensuring value creation and benefit realization.

  • Conduct regular contract review meetings with suppliers and internal stakeholders to monitor performance.

  • Foster a collaborative team environment and service culture to ensure timely, high-quality service delivery.

  • Own and manage the end-to-end Source-to-Contract process for assigned categories, ensuring compliance and regulatory reporting.

  • Consult with leaders and analyze market trends to verify the relevance of sourcing strategies.

  • Develop, monitor, and analyze procurement metrics and spend analytics.

  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and negotiate favorable terms.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical procurement practices.

  • Establish a supplier evaluation framework and identify opportunities for supplier development.

  • Deliver savings and value targets through material deflation, cost optimization, and other initiatives.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field (MBA preferred).

  • 7–10 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or related fields.

  • Strong knowledge of sourcing processes, market trends, and best practices.

  • Expertise in category strategy, management, and sourcing methodologies.

  • Strong attention to detail and analytical accuracy.

  • Ability to make decisions independently and commit to timelines.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).

  • Experience in indirect procurement supporting Finance, Marketing, HR, or other business functions.

  • Strong negotiation, communication, and project management skills.

  • Ability to work autonomously and manage priorities in a global context.

  • Proficiency in procurement software and data analysis tools.

  • Strong business, financial, and strategic acumen.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.

  • Interpersonal skills to build and maintain trusted relationships internally and externally.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree or relevant equivalent experience.

  • C.P.M. or APICS certification.


Physical Demands / Work Environment

  • Office-based, hybrid work arrangement at the discretion of the line manager.

  • Frequent interruptions and changes in priorities.

  • High degree of global collaboration via Teams and conference calls.

  • Ability to work unsupervised while managing regional and global priorities.

  • Overtime may be required.
