Staff Pharmacist - Cleveland, OH

Job Description:

Jubilant Radiopharma, a leader in nuclear medicine, is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to join our dynamic team. As a Staff Pharmacist at Jubilant Radiopharma, you’ll be a key player in ensuring the accurate and safe delivery of radiopharmaceuticals used for diagnostic imaging and therapeutic treatments. You will work with state-of-the-art equipment and cutting-edge technology, making a meaningful impact on patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Precision Compounding: Prepare and dispense radiopharmaceuticals with meticulous attention to detail, following customer orders to ensure patient well-being.
  • Technology Utilization: Operate elute generators, calibrators, and analyzers to maintain top performance and accuracy in drug compounding.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct quality control checks on kits, instruments, and compounding processes, ensuring adherence to the highest safety and quality standards.
  • Radiation Safety: Monitor radiation safety programs and assist in investigating spills and potential threats, prioritizing the safety of staff and patients.
  • Patient Care: Counsel patients on prescriptions, provide guidance on proper usage, and answer any questions to ensure understanding and comfort.
  • Inventory Management: Order supplies, manage inventory levels, and maintain operational efficiency in the pharmacy.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff, stepping in to assist operations as needed.
  • Environmental Responsibility: Ensure proper disposal of used materials and maintain a clean and efficient work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from an accredited college of pharmacy.
  • Experience: Ideally, at least two years of experience as a nuclear pharmacist.
  • Authorized User Status: Current Authorized User of radioactive materials is preferred; we are willing to assist in achieving this status.
  • Board Certification: Board-Certified Nuclear Pharmacist (BCNP) is highly desirable, but we are also open to helping you achieve this certification.
  • Radiation Safety: Experience as a Radiation Safety Officer is a plus. We are committed to developing your expertise in this area.
