Clinical Research Nurse – Madison, WI (On-site)

Job Summary

Are you an RN looking to enter the field of clinical research? Join one of the world’s top Clinical Research Organizations as a Clinical Research Nurse at our Early Phase Unit in Madison, WI. This full-time, onsite position is perfect for newly licensed nurses or those with up to one year of clinical experience who are ready to be part of groundbreaking Phase I drug trials. In this role, you’ll contribute to global health advancements while honing your clinical skills in a fast-paced, protocol-driven setting.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver participant-centered care aligned with clinical research protocols

  • Respond to medical emergencies using standard nursing practices

  • Document and address adverse events and maintain detailed study records

  • Administer investigational products, including parenteral drugs, per protocol

  • Perform procedures such as ECGs, telemetry, venipuncture, vital signs, cannulation

  • Educate participants on the informed consent process and study expectations

  • Monitor general health and well-being of participants

  • Maintain study and clinic areas to regulatory and safety standards


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (ASN/BSN)

  • Current RN licensure in Wisconsin or applicable state

  • CPR/AED certified (mandatory)

  • ACLS preferred (can be obtained after hire)

  • 0–1 year of relevant nursing or clinical experience

  • Adaptable to fast-paced, electronic data-driven environments

  • Strong teamwork, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
