Clinical Research Technician / Phlebotomist (On-Call)

Job Summary:

Fortrea, a global leader in early-phase clinical research, is seeking an On-Call Clinical Research Technician / Phlebotomist to join its dynamic team in Daytona Beach, Florida. This role is ideal for candidates with phlebotomy experience who are passionate about contributing to clinical trials and interested in gaining exposure to first-in-human and early-phase studies. You'll interact directly with healthy volunteers and contribute to cutting-edge clinical research while maintaining a high standard of care.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform vital signs (BP, pulse, temperature, weight, respiratory rate)

  • Conduct venipuncture and collect biological samples per protocol

  • Accurately record ECGs and Holter monitor data

  • Ensure dietary compliance by monitoring participant meals

  • Assist in screening and clinical procedures

  • Maintain clean and safe clinical environments

  • Set up rooms and prepare medical equipment

  • Support clinical trial teams with day-to-day operational tasks

  • Follow Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and standard operating procedures


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Certification as EMT, Phlebotomist, CMA, or CNA (preferred)

  • 0–1 year of relevant clinical or phlebotomy experience

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols

  • Comfortable in fast-paced, high-accuracy clinical settings

  • Tech-savvy and able to work in electronic data collection environments

  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
