Overview:

Join Thermo Fisher Scientific’s Neurosciences Rare Diseases Team as a (Senior) Project Manager and lead the delivery of complex clinical trials focused on rare neurological disorders. This fully remote role supports the North America region and requires deep clinical trial experience in rare disease indications such as ALS, DMD, SMA, CMT, and others.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end delivery of neuroscience-focused rare disease trials.

  • Act as the primary sponsor contact at the project level, ensuring alignment with client expectations.

  • Lead cross-functional global project teams and collaborate across departments to ensure project success (quality, time, cost).

  • Drive project financial management including budget adherence, forecasting, and contract negotiations.

  • Identify risks, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards (ICH-GCP, SOPs, etc.).

  • Promote continuous improvement through strategic project planning and process optimization.


Preferred Indications Experience:

  • ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis)

  • DMD (Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy)

  • FSHD (Facioscapulohumeral Muscular Dystrophy)

  • MG (Myasthenia Gravis)

  • CMT (Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease)

  • Huntington’s Disease

  • SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy)

  • Myotonic Dystrophy


Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in life sciences or a related field.

Experience:

  • 8+ years of clinical trial experience, including 5+ years in project management roles.

  • Proven leadership in managing global or multi-region clinical studies.

  • Demonstrated experience with rare disease neuroscience trials.

Skills & Abilities:

  • In-depth knowledge of clinical trial project delivery frameworks.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.

  • Strong financial and risk management acumen.

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite and clinical trial systems (CTMS, Clarity, etc.).

  • Culturally aware with the ability to lead global cross-functional teams.

  • Strong customer engagement and relationship-building capabilities.


Work Environment:

  • Fully remote; requires availability for virtual collaboration across time zones.

  • Ability to use office technologies proficiently.

  • Travel may be required (details to be provided by recruiter).
