The Opportunity

The Senior Director, Head of Corporate Affairs, Global R&D and Business Development at Teva Pharmaceuticals is key in driving the visibility of our science, innovation, and drug development capabilities, enhancing Teva’s reputation as a leader in generics and innovative drug development. This role is crucial in advancing the company's reputation and in ensuring that both internal and external communication supports our global strategy and business goals. You will be responsible for managing strategic communications related to our pipeline and portfolio while fostering a positive, high-performance culture within R&D and Business Development.

This is a hybrid role based in Parsippany, NJ.


How You’ll Spend Your Day

  • Develop and implement strategic communications for both internal and external stakeholders to promote Teva’s mission, drive business objectives, and strengthen our reputation.

  • Lead executive thought leadership on R&D, pipeline, and business development, aligning communications with corporate objectives.

  • Engage with business partners to synthesize Teva’s work in therapeutic areas and highlight leadership in generics medicines.

  • Collaborate with HR and corporate affairs to amplify Teva’s science and pipeline messages both internally and externally.

  • Measure and analyze communication effectiveness and adjust strategies to improve outreach and impact.

  • Foster employee engagement through multimedia initiatives such as town halls and leader forums to connect senior leaders with the workforce.

  • Manage communication strategies for executive visibility, including positioning collaborations, deals, and acquisitions.

  • Serve as a strategic communications advisor to senior leaders and develop public relations strategies for key milestones.


Your Experience and Qualifications

Education/Certification/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field.

  • Master’s degree in communications, journalism, or life sciences is a plus.

  • A minimum of 15 years of corporate communications experience, with at least 5 years of experience in pipeline, product/brand, or scientific communications in the Pharma industry.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proven leadership in executive communications, public relations, and organizational communications within R&D and Business Development.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.

  • Expertise in digital communication tools and content creation for various channels.


Travel Requirements

  • International and domestic travel is expected up to 20%.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent: Sitting for extended periods of time and using fingers to type.

  • Visual Acuity: Close visual acuity for computer work, data analysis, and extensive reading.

Working Environment

  • Work will be conducted mainly in an office environment.
