Position Overview

AllCare Plus Pharmacy (an IQVIA company) is seeking a Care Manager to join its Patient Support Services team.

As a Care Manager, you will assist patients and healthcare providers with:

  • Insurance verification

  • Benefit investigations

  • Co-pay assistance

  • Prior authorization and appeals support

  • Patient eligibility for assistance programs

🕓 Work Hours: 8-hour shift between 8 AM – 8 PM EST
💰 Salary: $23/hour
📍 Remote: Yes (Private workspace required; no Wi-Fi — wired internet only)


Key Responsibilities

✅ Perform outbound calls to obtain necessary information and document accurately
✅ Handle inbound calls to assist customers with pharmacy-related services
✅ Communicate with insurance companies to verify benefits and coverage eligibility
✅ Support prior authorizations and appeals processes
✅ Assist patients with enrollment in manufacturer or non-profit co-pay assistance programs
✅ Maintain professionalism and deliver courteous, efficient service
✅ Update job knowledge through training and educational opportunities
✅ Adhere to quality standards and meet program KPIs
✅ Report Adverse Drug Events (ADEs) as per program policy
✅ Maintain HIPAA compliance at all times
✅ May assist with new employee onboarding


Required Qualifications

🎓 Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (some college preferred)

💼 Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year in medical billing, reimbursement, insurance verification, or related field

  • Minimum 3 months of data entry experience

  • Ability to type 30+ WPM

💻 Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

  • Experience with soft phone systems (WebEx, Mitel, Shoretel, etc.)

  • Ability to navigate multiple tabs, monitors, and applications

🗣️ Communication:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through

🏠 Remote Work Requirements:

  • Must reside in the United States

  • Private workspace free of distractions

  • Wired internet connection (Wi-Fi not permitted)


Preferred Qualifications

⭐ Previous experience in Patient Support Services (Hub)
⭐ Customer service experience in healthcare
Bilingual (English/Spanish preferred)

💰 Compensation & Benefits
