Senior Specialist – Quality Assurance (Associate Manager)

Overview:
Merck is seeking a Senior Specialist – Quality Assurance (Associate Manager) to lead QA processes for its Life Science division in Bangalore. This key role involves implementing and maintaining a robust Quality Management System (QMS), conducting audits, overseeing regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement across operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain QMS in line with regulatory and industry standards

  • Lead internal/external audits, inspections, and quality investigations

  • Monitor quality metrics and identify improvement areas

  • Review and manage quality documentation including SOPs, validation protocols, and reports

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality across the product lifecycle

  • Train and guide teams on QA best practices and compliance protocols

  • Liaise with regulatory agencies and ensure timely and accurate communication

  • Drive continuous improvement for enhanced product quality and efficiency


Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience: 7–10 years in QA within pharmaceutical, chemical, life sciences, or biotech industries

  • Education: Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Engineering, or related field

  • Strong knowledge of regulatory standards: FDA, EMA, NABL, and quality frameworks: ISO, GMP

  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-driven environment


Estimated Salary: ₹20–30 LPA (based on Bangalore QA leadership roles in the life science sector)
