🔬 Position Overview
Opportunity Summary
As a Senior Research Associate in the Personalized Healthcare Assay Development Team, you will be responsible for:
Conducting research, development, and manufacturing laboratory experiments.
Applying scientific and technical expertise to support Ventana projects.
Designing, executing, and interpreting experiments that shape project strategies.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
Research & Development
Develop and execute experimental plans, methods, and techniques to meet complex project goals.
Perform and analyze bench experiments; prepare detailed technical reports and data summaries.
Maintain accurate experimental records, supporting publications or patent filings.
Technical Expertise & Problem Solving
Evaluate and solve complex scientific problems using independent judgment and diverse methodologies.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and safety.
Collaboration & Leadership
Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams and contribute to project planning.
Mentor and train junior team members; share expertise in scientific techniques.
Foster a “Quality First Time” culture across laboratory operations.
Quality & Compliance
Ensure adherence to laboratory quality standards and safety regulations.
Troubleshoot and implement corrective actions where required.
👩🔬 Who You Are
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Science with 6 years of relevant experience, OR
Master’s Degree in Science with 1 year of relevant experience (preferred).
Experience in product development processes is highly preferred.
Core Competencies
Strong project and time management skills.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and data presentation tools.
Ability to act independently and make sound technical decisions.
Excellent critical thinking and analytical problem-solving abilities.
💰 Compensation & Benefits
Location: Tucson, Arizona
Salary Range: USD $68,300 – $97,500 annually
Bonus: Discretionary annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
